We want to buy from you
We will consider buying records with original sleeves and covers with minimal scratches on the records. We want to hear from you if you have the following;
Rock, Metal, Punk, Modern/Free Jazz styles (for example, Coltrane, Miles Davis), Blues, Indie, 80s pop and 90s
Please no 70s easy listening or records you always find in charity shops
Being honest, you will not get top prices from us, but we will offer a fair trade price. We need to check, clean, catalogue, store & sell them. Selling individually for yourself is your choice, but very time consuming.
Company History
Our aims are simply to offer competitively priced records backed by a premium service and a single source to trade records of all genres suiting most budgets
Founded in 2011 by Jason, a life-long music lover and occassional band member, Desirable Vinyl originally started online with the intention of opening a physical store somewhere in Gloucestershire or Worcestershire.
In 2016 our first store opened in Pershore indoor market.
2018 saw us partner with long-standing record dealer Recent & Rare Records and we moved our store to Evesham in Worcestershire where we expanded with 2 floors of Vinyl LPs, 7", 10", 12", CDs, Tapes and Official band related merchandise.
Sadly John Fisher, founder of Recent & Rare, died unexpectedly following breathing complications in 2019. John had a unique sense of humour and a practical joke was always around the corner. He is still sorely missed.
As DV we were determined to keep his legacy alive, so following a rebrand and purchase of the stock, a new shop layout and refurbishment, we re-opened in April 2019 as Desirable Vinyl.
Sadly with the unseen advent of Covid and the resulting downturn, I took the painful decision in its aftermath to close the record store and we closed our doors in December 2021.
We continue to support our local customers on Evesham Market every 1st Saturday.
Music is my religion and life. Everyone involved with us feel vinyl is the best media to enjoy this, however we are not snobs and cater for all by selling CDs, Cassettes and even 8-tracks!
We will keep vinyl alive. The experience of owning vinyl is unique and many people are still avid listeners to and collectors of vinyl, so come and join the revival against downloads. Young or older everyone is very welcome to meet and browse.
